SUMMARY:We the People Connect the Dots - Citizens to Rally and March Against Tyranny
DESCRIPTION:PRESS RELEASE\nContacts: \nDaniel Cohen: (832) 489-7643\nEgberto Willies: (281) 826-6979\nwww.facebook.com/indivisiblehouston/\nwww.indivisiblehouston.org \nFOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE \nWe the People Connect the Dots\nCitizens to Rally and March Against Tyranny in Downtown Houston \nHouston\, TX – (February 13\, 2017) – Most years\, this weekend would be dedicated to the power of the President. This year on Sunday\, February 19\, “We the People Connect the Dots” march against tyranny and ongoing attacks on social justice and civil rights. \nInstead of honoring our current President on this holiday\, we honor the American people and the values that hundreds of thousands of us are fighting for. We are democracy. We are patriots. We are America.” states the membership of Indivisible Houston. \nThe March will begin at 3:00 PM with speakers from diverse advocacy groups united by those interconnected issues and articulating true American values. \nThe march will stop at various locations that represent the different levels of government and how they impact seemingly disparate communities. \nSince inauguration\, communities across the United States have sprung into action. With protests at airports like IAH turning the tide in American opinion against policies such as the Muslim ban\, the true numbers of the resistance are making themselves heard. Now is the time to protect the rights\, safety\, and health of Houstonians and all Americans at the local\, state\, and federal level. Marginalized groups are under fire and respected American institutions on the chopping block. Average citizens at the grassroots level are who will save this country. \nResist\,\nIndivisible Houston
