DESCRIPTION:Solidarity with Anti-fascist Prisoners & J20 (Inaugural Protest) Defendants \nTuesday\, July 25th\, 7pm \nSolidarity Houston \n6733 Harrisburg Blvd \nhosted by Houston Anarchist Black Cross \nhttps://www.facebook.com/events/1568923629818647/ \nJoin us for short films\, snacks\, and discussion – and send cards to folks behind bars. \nJuly 25 is the annual International Day of Solidarity with Anti-Fascist Prisoners! \nJuly 20-27 is a week of solidarity with the 214 defendants each facing 8 felony charges and 75 years in federal prison stemming from resistance to Trump’s inauguration on January 20 (J20). \nOne of the defendants\, Dane Powell\, was recently sentence to 4 months in prison\, and many others are having an important court hearing on July 27 at which the judge will rule on motions to dismiss the charges. \nThe issues of fascism and political repression are deeply intertwined.
