DESCRIPTION:Join us to celebrate Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month with a free screening of Emmy-nominated film A Village Called Versailles\, on Thursday\, May 11\, 2023\, 12:00 to 2:00 PM\, 3412 Crawford Street\, Houston 77004.\n\nIn a New Orleans neighborhood called Versailles\, a tight-knit group of Vietnamese Americans overcame obstacles to rebuild after Hurricane Katrina\, only to have their homes threatened by a new government-imposed toxic landfill. “A Village Called Versailles” is the empowering story of how the Versailles people\, who have already suffered so much in their lifetime\, turn a devastating disaster into a catalyst for change and a chance for a better future.\n\n\nThis event is free and open to the public with donations encouraged.  Free parking in Lot 9 at Holman and Crawford/Almeda.
