DESCRIPTION:CARAVAN OF GRANNIES STOPPING IN HOUSTON\, TEXAS\, ON THEIR WAY TO THE US-MEXICO BORDER \nWe are on a 2\,000 mile journey to the border to protest the inhumane treatment of immigrants. And on Sunday\, August 5th\, we’re stopping for rest in Houston\, Texas. \nCome down to Guadalupe Plaza Park (or Talento Bilnguae de Houston if you need to beat the heat). Meet the grannies\, learn about what they’re doing and how to join the caravan\, sign our nationwide petition\, and more. \nWorld music program begins at 6 PM.\nFeatured speakers including Cesar Espinoza (FIEL) and Sobia Siddiqui (CAIR) at 7 PM.\nSilent candlelight vigil at the detention center site begins at 8 PM. \n**JOIN THE CARAVAN ** \nAfter a good night’s rest\, we’ll leave the next morning. Hopefully with YOU! You do NOT have to be a grandmother to join the caravan.
