SUMMARY:EPA Region 6 Environmental Justice Summit
DESCRIPTION:U.S. EPA Region 6 is hosting a 2-day Environmental Justice Summit on August 9-10\, 2016\, in Dallas. The purpose of the summit is to:\n\nDiscuss progress on the development and implementation of EPA Region 6 Environmental Justice Collaborative Action Plans for Arkansas\, Louisiana\, New Mexico\, Oklahoma and Texas.\nHighlight examples of successful multi-stakeholder collaborations to address environmental justice issues in communities across Region 6.\nHighlight recent federal government initiatives that can support local community efforts to address environmental justice issues.\n\nTarget Audience:\nGrassroots and community leaders\, non-profit organizations\, academia\, industry\, local\, state\, and federal environmental justice partners. \nClick here to view the Summit agenda!\nClick here to view the Summit flyer!\nEvent details are below. Ask for “EPA Summit”. After July 29th the remaining rooms will be released. All reservations include a complimentary breakfast buffet (limit one per room per room night). Individual guests should cancel their reservations 48 hours prior to arrival date (by 3:00pm Sunday\, August 7th\, 2016 for a Tuesday\, August 9th check-in).
