SUMMARY:2019 Houston Youth Voters Conference
DESCRIPTION:The Houston Youth Voters Conference is a summit dedicated to the empowerment of Houston\nyouth as it concerns four pillars of civic engagement: voter registration\, voter turnout\, non-\npartisan dialogue\, and volunteering. This year\, it will take place on September 20th from 3-8pm\non the University of Houston Downtown campus. \n  \nAll university campuses from Houston are invited to attend\, and so far\, Rice University\, Texas\nSouthern University\, University of Houston\, and Prairie View A&M University\, and University\nof Houston-Downtown have committed to participating in the conference. We are very excited\nthat so many students from across Houston are excited to come together and unite around\nbecoming more involved in the community. \n  \nThis event will celebrate our right and privilege as youth to participate in our democracy and\neffect change in our communities. It will feature speakers\, policy discussions\, and opportunities\nto meet other-like minded youth.
