HPJC April 2025 Networking Mixer

Houston Peace & Justice Center conducted its quarterly mixer on April 5th, 2025. The special guest was supposed to be the Honorable Congressman Al Green. Unfortunately he was stuck in Washington DC.

HPJC April Mixer

Many social, economic, racial, and criminal justice organizations attended the mixer.

SHAPE Center founder Deloyd Parker was one of our guests who gave a significant statement about protests and their effectiveness. He pointed out that a protest without a program is ineffective. In other words, if you are just out there raising hell but do not have a path to follow to attain success while and from said protest, it would all be in vain.

HPJC’s new president, Sophia Moreau, led the program and introduced various activists and participants. She encouraged the attendees to speak and interact with each other one-on-one to foment cooperation and interoperability.

It was a successful mixer, and they will surely grow as more of these groups find advantages in using HPJC as one of their premiere networking hubs.
