VariesTexas — come move for mental health with UNRWA USA at the first ever Houston #Gaza5K walk/run on Saturday, November 17 at Cullen Park!
In light of the UNRWA funding crisis and the deteriorating humanitarian conditions, we’re fundraising to provide emergency assistance, including employing 25 UNRWA counselors — refugees themselves — to provide psychosocial support to Palestine refugee children and families in the Gaza Strip who suffer from trauma due to repeated Israeli military assaults and the continued blockade.
Sign up at gaza5k.org and start fundraising to make access to mental health care a reality for all Palestine refugee children in the Gaza Strip! Early bird registration is open, and rates will go up by $15 per registrant starting November 1, so sign up now!
– Fundraise $50 and get one official Gaza 5K t-shirt (each individual must fundraise a minimum of $50 beyond the cost of registration to receive their shirt)
– Fundraise $500 for a beautiful, classic keffiyeh from the Hirbawi Textile Factory, the last remaining keffiyeh factory in Palestine. They come complete with a “made in Palestine” tag!
– Fundraise $1,000 for your very own piece of Palestine! We’ll plant an olive tree in your honor in a refugee camp or near an UNRWA facility in the West Bank.
