2019 Houston Youth Voters Conference

October 4, 2019 @ 3:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Free

The Houston Youth Voters Conference is a summit dedicated to the empowerment of Houston
youth as it concerns four pillars of civic engagement: voter registration, voter turnout, non-
partisan dialogue, and volunteering. This year, it will take place on September 20th from 3-8pm
on the University of Houston Downtown campus.

All university campuses from Houston are invited to attend, and so far, Rice University, Texas
Southern University, University of Houston, and Prairie View A&M University, and University
of Houston-Downtown have committed to participating in the conference. We are very excited
that so many students from across Houston are excited to come together and unite around
becoming more involved in the community.

This event will celebrate our right and privilege as youth to participate in our democracy and
effect change in our communities. It will feature speakers, policy discussions, and opportunities
to meet other-like minded youth. We will get registered/pledged to vote together, and come up
with actionable ways to get civically engaged as a united Houston youth front!
