EPA Region 6 Environmental Justice Summit

U.S. EPA Region 6 is hosting a 2-day Environmental Justice Summit on August 9-10, 2016, in Dallas. The purpose of the summit is to:
- Discuss progress on the development and implementation of EPA Region 6 Environmental Justice Collaborative Action Plans for Arkansas, Louisiana, New Mexico, Oklahoma and Texas.
- Highlight examples of successful multi-stakeholder collaborations to address environmental justice issues in communities across Region 6.
- Highlight recent federal government initiatives that can support local community efforts to address environmental justice issues.
Target Audience:
Grassroots and community leaders, non-profit organizations, academia, industry, local, state, and federal environmental justice partners.

A block of rooms has been reserved for attendees of the Summit at the following hotel for the night of August 9th. Attendees can receive the government rate for the nights of August 7th – 8th and August 10th – 11th if rooms are available.

Reservation Information:
Guests can use the link below or call for hotel reservations at 214-742-5678 by Friday, July 29th, 2016. Ask for “EPA Summit”. After July 29th the remaining rooms will be released. All reservations include a complimentary breakfast buffet (limit one per room per room night). If you plan to arrive after 6:00pm on the date of arrival, please call the hotel at 214-742-5678 x625 to ensure that your room is not released. Individual guests should cancel their reservations 48 hours prior to arrival date (by 3:00pm Sunday, August 7th, 2016 for a Tuesday, August 9th check-in). Late cancellation/no show charge is equivalent to $125.00.

Transportation and Parking:
The Crowne Plaza Hotel Dallas is conveniently located six miles from Love Field Airport. Once you arrive at the airport, call the hotel 214-742-5678 for complimentary shuttle pick up. The front desk will let you know where to go for airport pickup and what vehicle will be transporting you.
The hotel also offers a self-parking garage operated by LAZ Parking Services. Rates are $8.00 per day per car, $16.00 for overnight parking or $24.00 for valet.
