Heat Stress Prevention: Medical Community Engagement with Climate Change

September 27 @ 6:00 pm 7:00 pm

Join Dr. Brett Perkison as he presents the latest technologies and methods used to monitor workers for heat stress. He will also discuss how current medical diagnostic coding often underdiagnoses patients with heat-related illnesses and how emerging electronic health record features may improve our ability to measure the health impacts of extreme heat. These advances may also enhance recognition, treatment, and reimbursement for heat-related conditions, helping the medical community better address the health effects of climate change. Time for interactive discussion with the speaker will be provided.
