The Houston Green Film Series and Transition Houston are proud to host Katrina X and 10 Years After Katrina: Resilience, Recovery, and REALITY. These two films will discuss the realities of New Orleans after the storm. Join us for a look at the effects of climate change on Houston’s neighbor as these films demonstrate what disaster capitalism means for cities on our coast.

Special Guest Breial Kennedy co-director will be traveling to Houston to discuss her experience with the making of the film and the realities of “recovery” for many Katrina survivors.

The film will be shown at the Rice Media Center on March 30, 2016

A free vegetarian meal will be provided at 6:30 and the films will begin at 7 pm. Donations to cover the cost of the food are welcome.
