Police Brutality Around Us: History & Discussion

This event will highlight a Northside student’s presentation on police brutality. We will also have speakers, including Janie Torres, to discuss the history of police brutality in our area.

While the murder of Joe Campos Torres and the Moody Park Riots will be our main topics, we would like to remind everyone that the murder of Joe Campos Torres and the Moody Park riots are not just historical events. Family members still feel the loss of Joe Campos Torres and police brutality continues to be an issue today.

We are grateful for the next generation of leaders who will continue progress on the issue of police brutality.
