“Does the Working Class Need Its Own Political Party?”
Most ideological discussion on the working class movement towards socialism pivots around the issue of a revolutionary party. Is a revolutionary party necessary or only a coalition electoral party? What does history tell us about this? Has socialism (working class in full power) ever been built in the absence of such a political party? We will be discussing Marx, Engels, and Lenin on the need for and role of a revolutionary party.
Join us every other Tuesday at Cafe Express in River Oaks! We are the longest-running progressive reading group in Harris County and would love to have you at our next meet up.
