The People’s Peaceful Protest: Resistance is Resilience
January 18 @ 1:00 pm – 5:00 pm
Due to permit issues, we will have a peaceful protest/sit-in and the People’s Peaceful Protest is changing venues from Discovery Green to City Hall. We will meet at City Hall at 1PM Jan. 18. Lawn chairs and small coolers will be allowed. Please leave glass containers at home. No mace, pocket knives, guns, multi-tools or any weapons of any style are permitted. Megaphones are not allowed because we do not have a noise permit. There will be police presence at the event in case of counter protesters.
If you believe that decisions about your body should remain yours, that books belong in libraries, not on bonfires, that healthcare is a right not a privilege for the wealthy; if you believe in the power of free speech and protest to sustain democracy; or if you want an economy that works for the people who power it- then this is the protest for you!
