Transition Houston Meeting: Creating Resilience and Hope in Extraordinary Times

February 7, 2017 @ 6:30 pm - 9:00 pm

What is Transition? Creating Resilience and Hope in Extraordinary Times

We invite you to our first gathering of 2017 on Tuesday, February 7th. We’ll be viewing a short film focused on inspiring ways to find and create resilience and hope in extraordinary times. During our follow-up discussion, we’ll be asking for your input to guide our activities for the coming year.

Please click here to RSVP!

Socializing begins at 6:30pm and the meeting at 7:00pm at the Haven’s Center, 1827 W Alabama St, Houston, TX 77098 | Map to Location.

Join us for a viewing of In Transition 2.0 which is an inspirational immersion in the Transition movement. The film gathers stories from around the world of ordinary people doing extraordinary things. You’ll hear about communities printing their own money, growing food, localizing their economies and setting up community power stations. It’s an idea that has gone viral, a social experiment that is about responding to uncertain times with solutions and optimism. In a world of increasing uncertainty, here is a story of hope, ingenuity and the power of growing vegetables in unexpected places.

Bring yourself, a friend, and a light snack to share! We hope to see you there!
