Women’s History Month: Murdered and Missing Indigenous Women

March 28, 2022 @ 6:00 pm 8:00 pm

Four out of five indigenous women are affected by violence today, with murder rates more than 10 times the national average. So why don’t we hear more about this shocking issue?
Please join the Center for the Healing of Racism on Monday, March 28, 2022, 6:00-8:00pm (CDT) for a Zoom dialogue about the crisis of Murdered and Missing Indigenous Women (MMIW).  Our speakers, Jodi Voice Yellowfish and Christy Swimmer McLemore of MMIWTX Rematriate, will discuss the history and current status of this ongoing violation of human rights, from the Indian Relocation Act to current issues faced by Native communities and available resources.  A facilitated dialogue will follow the presentation.
This event is free and open to the public.  Donations are encouraged.  Please register here to receive the Zoom link:  https://www.centerhealingracism.org/event/murdered-and-missing-indigenous-women-rematriate-a-zoom-dialogue/
