    A selection of films from the Wild & Scenic Film Festival, North America’s largest environmental film festival, will bring two hours of beautiful, educational, and inspiring films to the big screen at River Oaks Theatre on January 30 & 31, 2019, from 7:00 – 9:00 pm each night.

    For the fourth year, the Citizens’ Environmental Coalition (CEC) brings The Wild and Scenic Film Festival on Tour, one of the largest environmental film festivals in North America, back to Houston for two nights—January 24 and 25, 2018—at the historic River Oaks Theatre!

    The Houston festival is a selection of films from the 4-day festival held each year in Nevada City, CA, by the watershed advocacy group, the South Yuba River Citizens League (SYRCL). Their National Partners—Patagonia, CLIF Bar, Earthjustice,Sierra Nevada Brewing, Klean Kanteen, Orion Magazine, Barefoot Wine, and KEEN—help make the festival available to environmentally conscious groups across the country. Hosting The Wild & Scenic Film Festival on Tour helps the CEC illustrate the Earth’s beauty, the challenges facing our planet, and the work communities are doing to protect our environment. The festival is a natural extension of CEC’s work to inspire people to act.
