Racism in White Saviorism

Please join the Center for the Healing of Racism on Tuesday, November 16, 2021 (6 to 8 PM CST) for a workshop addressing the role of the “White Savior” in racial violence — from residential schools, social work programs to education.  By examining the historical context, we can better understand the ways in which the helping professions can contribute to paternalism and harm in the communities they seek to serve.  Our presenter will be artist and educator Heather Maria Scholl who has 20 years experience in racial justice movements with a focus on the role of of White women in White supremacy.
