Peace Club Beloved Community Jan 22nd
Happy New Year! The 8th and 22nd of January will be the next sessions for Peace Club. The group will be making peanut butter and jelly sandwiches for food not bombs and learning to knit and crochet hats for needy folks. Participating in the MLK Parade will be discussed, and possible activities for the next 6 months will be planned. Ages 5 and older are invited, so bring friends. Supporting each other will help us become more compassionate peacemakers. 2017 will be a challenge, so let’s work with our youth to create the Beloved Community.

Wild & Scenic Film Festival On Tour
The Houston festival is a selection of films from the 4-day festival held each year in Nevada City, CA, by the watershed advocacy group, the South Yuba River Citizens League (SYRCL). Their National Partners—Patagonia, CLIF Bar, Earthjustice,Sierra Nevada Brewing, Klean Kanteen, Orion Magazine, Barefoot Wine, and KEEN—help make the festival available to environmentally conscious groups across the country. Hosting The Wild & Scenic Film Festival on Tour helps the CEC illustrate the Earth’s beauty, the challenges facing our planet, and the work communities are doing to protect our environment. The festival is a natural extension of CEC’s work to inspire people to act.
