Santa At The Jail is a project to provide children visiting their parents at the jail a toy as they leave. Imagine having to leave your parent behind bars on Christmas Eve. Please donate and/or join us on Christmas Eve at the jail, to help us bring a little comfort to these kids as they have to leave their parents behind.

The group will be making peanut butter and jelly sandwiches for food not bombs and learning to knit and crochet hats for needy folks. Participating in the MLK Parade will be discussed, and possible activities for the next 6 months will be planned. Ages 5 and older are invited, so bring friends. Supporting each other will help us become more compassionate peacemakers. 2017 will be a challenge, so let’s work with our youth to create the Beloved Community.

chris will join with some local members of the Boulder Canyon Band for this Millbend Coffeehouse Special Event KPFT fundraiser. The film is a riveting portrayal of John Lewis’ personal journey of courage, searing disappointments and hard-won triumphs, as over the decades he inspires others to stand up and resist.
The January 20 Coalition is organizing a march and rally to protest the inauguration of Trump on Friday January 20, 1-4 pm. We will assemble on the sidewalk at 900 Smith St., next to Hermann Square, at 1 pm. Beginning at 1:30 pm, we will march on the sidewalks down Smith St. to the Leland Federal Building at 1919 Smith St. Our rally there will include speakers, chants, spoken word artists, and the dramatic smashing of a new Trump piñata.

Medea will draw upon her first-hand knowledge of the Middle East to share her insights, and she'll introduce her latest book, Kingdom of the Unjust; Behind the U.S.-Saudi Connection. Ann was recently - once again - captured in international waters and imprisoned by the Israelis while attempting to reach shore on the Women's Boat to Gaza. She can speak on the human and environmental costs of war and militarism around the globe and the possible effects of a Trump administration's policies on all of us
