Ethan has studied NVC for many years and practices it daily at his permaculture homestead. He has organized and been part of restorative circles, and notes that his community wouldn't exist without them.
This class will focus on NVC in group situations like Food Not Bombs. What approach can be taken when someone in like cuts and a fight breaks out? What if someone wants to call the police for a non-emergency? How can we understand peoples motivations and what drives them to anger and aggression?

Peace Club Beloved Community Jan 8th

The group will be making peanut butter and jelly sandwiches for food not bombs and learning to knit and crochet hats for needy folks. Participating in the MLK Parade will be discussed, and possible activities for the next 6 months will be planned. Ages 5 and older are invited, so bring friends. Supporting each other will help us become more compassionate peacemakers. 2017 will be a challenge, so let’s work with our youth to create the Beloved Community.

John Denver Tribute Concert

If you truly love the music of John Denver, or if you are a Chris Colllins fan, this concert will be a wonderful opportunity to enjoy a great Sunday afternoon concert, and also to help support the positive impact of KPFT public radio on our local community.
